Speak at an event
Our commitment to our speakers and special guests is to make them feel welcome, removing any potential issue with their participation and allowing them to tell their story comfortably.
As a speaker, you will be invited to:
- Bring knowledge and/or awareness about a topic to the community
- Share a particular point of view that the audience can benefit from listening
- Being part of the discussion, being available for questions and actively listening to the audience’s responses.
Submit a talk
In preparation for our events, the Calgary UX team will be assisting you in defining the following details:
- Your intro and bio
- Date and time of the event.
- Event description and more information to learn about you and your project
- Technical requirements for your participation
- Relevant topics you might not feel comfortable discussing in public
- Availability of content. E.g. If you can have the session recorded, provide presentation slides, allow screenshots, etc.
The speaker is welcome to share more info about a product or service they are involved in. The recommendation is to be mindful of the audience, the tone of the event and the value of this information to the community.
